Fire Cloak™ was born out of Prosol UK — a trusted supplier to the automotive sector since 1991. When electric vehicles became mainstream, we saw the growing fire risks posed by lithium batteries. Drawing on decades of technical and industry experience, we developed the UK’s first purpose-built fire limitation blanket.
From day one, our goal was clear: To create the most advanced, most reliable fire containment solution on the market. We weren’t prepared to compromise on materials, testing or performance — and we weren’t prepared to rely on imports with long lead times, dubious quality, or inflated costs.
Instead, we committed to building Fire Cloak™ in the UK. Working closely with leading fire-resistant textile manufacturers during the design and concept phase, we established the specifications and performance standards needed to outperform anything else on the market. From there, Fire Cloak™ became a UK manufacturer in its own right — designing, testing, and producing a blanket built to the highest levels of quality, reliability, and safety.
